Believing that Character is the “X factor” for our students life, we fully dedicate time in mentoring all the students in different fields. The major idea is to impart into the students the importance of having good character. This is done through a program called “Character Counts.” This program entails training students on the importance of the six main pillars of character building. The six pillars on focus are: TRUSTWORTHINESS, RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, FAIRNESS, CARING and CITIZENSHIP. This training is undertaken every week of the quarter all culminating in a “Character Counts Day” celebration. This program undoubtedly equips our students with lifelong virtues which help them beyond the school boundaries.
Is the saying goes; “ a life not lived for others is not a life,” each year, during the Character Counts Week celebration, Hilltops students have a trend of donating many valuable items to their fellow students in other schools and to needy and elderly people in different organizations. This will help the students to realize that their greatest success in life is often found in helping others succeed.
